Maitri has been named 2023 “Non Profit of the Year”! We are thankful to Assembly members Alex Lee for choosing us as one of the 113 nonprofits (Out of over 10,000) nominated by State Assembly members throughout California from the California Association of Nonprofits. This recognition is a testament to our impact in the community and we are inspired to continue the work of community building to secure a society where everyone thrives. Join us in the movement!
Over the years Maitri has received recognition from the community for transformative work in the movement against domestic violence. We just picked up this award from October 2021! The Board of Supervisors, County of Santa Clara honored Maitri with a plaque of commendation for serving the most vulnerable members of our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with empathy, competency and accessibility. We are thankful for this honor!
Maitri co-founder Roma Majumdar received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the County of Santa Clara for all her contribution in building a stronger, and more equitable community in Santa Clara County.
