A Day in Gratitude: National Crime Victims' Rights Week 2026
In observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Maitri hosted “A Day in Gratitude” on April 23, 2026, to honor the collaboration and support of Bay Area organizations in assisting victims and survivors of domestic violence and in joining the movement to end violence.
Maitri’s multilingual resources highlighting victims’ and survivors’ rights, magazines featuring contributions from Maitri staff and clients, and art activities for guests were among the attractions of the event. Our Client Advocates, the Violence Prevention Program lead, and Executive Director shared remarks celebrating the partnerships that make comprehensive care possible for individuals experiencing family violence. Certificates of Appreciation were distributed to attending organizations.
The movement continues—until safety, dignity, and justice belong to all.
